25 mins prepServes 4
A flavorful lamb burger recipe featuring fried feta cheese, fresh arugula, tomato, and a homemade tzatziki sauce, all served on brioche buns. Perfect for lunch or dinner!
Prep:
Dice onion, mint leaves and slice tomato.
Slice feta block into thin pieces and refrigerate until ready to use.
In a mixing bowl, add ground lamb, red onion, garlic, mint, cumin, paprika, ground mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 3-4 patties.
Cooking:
In a cast iron pan on medium to high heat, spray cooking oil. Sear each lamb patty on both sides for 3-5 minutes.
Remove meat and grill burger buns for 1 minute in the same pan.
Remove feta from fridge and coat with cornstarch.
In a non-stick pan on medium to high heat, drizzle olive oil. Add in feta once pan is hot. Sear for 1 minute and flip and cook on the other side for 1 minute.
Remove and place on a dry napkin to draw excess oil.
For tzatziki sauce: Combine all ingredients (Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, salt/pepper, olive oil) in a bowl and mix well.
Assembly:
Layer tzatziki sauce on both sides of brioche bun. On the bottom bun, add arugula, tomato, lamb burger, fried feta cheese, more arugula, and then the top bun.
Serve and Enjoy.
